He was born on the 25th of November, 1961 in the town of Callao in the South American nation of Peru. He is considered as a horse riding jockey in the American thoroughbred racing. The career of Jorge Chavez was initiated in the year 1982, in the state of Peru. In the year 1987, Chavez became the leading rider of his nation. In the months of April 1988, Chavez moved from Peru to the United States, wherein he got huge success in the race tracks of Florida. After a few years, Jorge Chavez moved to the city of New York. He was considered as the leading rider of the NYRA circuit from the years 1994 till the year 1999. This was the time when Chavez got national prominence.
